OSCA Version 1.0

On 6 December 2024, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) officially released the Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA) version 1.0. This new classification replaces the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO), introducing tailored updates to better reflect Australia’s evolving labour market.

The OSCA version 1.0 catalogue has been added to our website as a separate reference tool. While it provides an updated framework for classifying occupations in line with recent labour market changes, it is important to note that OSCA v1.0 has not yet been adopted by the Department of Home Affairs for migration and visa purposes.
